Seat Leon Boot Won’t Open – VAG Boot Switch & Latch Fault Fix

 Boot not opening on your Seat Leon, VW, Audi or Skoda?

This is a very common VAG fault caused by the boot switch, tailgate wiring loom or latch mechanism failure.

🔎 Main Causes




Boot Switch Failure



The external handle microswitch fails internally or fills with moisture.



Tailgate Wiring Loom Damage



Wires break inside the rubber hinge gaiter from repeated flexing.



Boot Latch Mechanism Fault



The electric latch motor or internal microswitch fails.
